Amplus Energy Solutions is Asia’s leader in providing distributed solar and energy solutions to industrial and commercial customers in India. Founded in 2013 by COO Guru Inder Mohan Singh and CEO Sanjeev Aggarwal, Amplus Energy Solutions zeroed in on distributed solar and commissioned its first rooftop project for Raisoni Group of Institutions in Maharashtra. Amplus owns and manages a portfolio of operational and under-construction plants of approx. 350Mwp+ serving more than 100 customers at over 200 locations under its brand ‘Amplus Solar’. Amplus is backed by I Squared Capital, a global private equity fund focused on developing long-term sustainable infrastructure assets
Today Amplus has emerged as one of the leaders in distributed energy sector through its unique advantage of understanding this space as compared to other leading players. The company specializes in rooftop solar power plants over building rooftops, car parks, and open spaces within the premises on Build Own Operate Transfer (BOOT) basis and is an end-to- end solution provider – including Design, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Monitoring and Maintenance.
The USP of the company is its business model (BOOT / Opex / RESCO model) - delivering immediate, risk-free savings with no investment from the customer or any hassle of operations or maintenance, combined with full attention to their needs. The company strives to create value for its customers through efficiencies in development, financing, construction and operation of distributed solar energy projects across the country.
Amplus has a diverse portfolio of clients including manufacturing organizations across Aerospace & Defence, Automotive, FMCG, Consumer Durables, Pharma, Food processing, etc. as well as commercial establishments like Retail chains, Educational institutes, Hospitals & Healthcare, Office buildings, Malls etc. As of now, Amplus’ client base includes renowned Indian and multinational firms viz. Yamaha, Lafarge, Kennametal, Walmart, ABB, TVS, HAL, Amway, Halliburton among others, and leading government entities such as Indian Railways, CPWD and HAL.
The 350+ MW project portfolio of Amplus is expected to generate 4682 Million units of electricity over the 25 years duration of the projects. The cumulative CO 2 abatement over the lifetime of these projects amounts to 1.68 Million Metric Tonnes. The environmental impact can also be equated to 115 Million trees grown for 10 years.
