Amplus has developed a plant of capacity 1MWp for the Wagon Repair Shop, South Eastern Central Railway, Raipur. Spread over an area of 20376 Sq Meters, this plant is spread across 41 smaller sections. The PPA was signed for a duration of 25 years.
The division of the roof in multiple smaller sections, along with an unsafe access to it, made the project complex. However, Amplus’ superior engineering skills dealt with these complexities in an extremely efficient way. Safety was kept in mind throughout the tenure of the project to provide quality solutions. A caged ladder was provided at site to deal with the roof, and vertical fall arresters were provided on the safety line.
Other elements that could be treated as safety hazards at this site were, a high inclination of the roof and skylights and turbo vents spread across all the roofs. The former was catered to by providing safety lines along the walkway. For dealing with the later, horizontal safety nets were provided along with vertical safety nets to cover glass skylights on each section of the smaller roofs. This avoided any mishap. This enhanced the safety of the workers and thus increased efficiency at site.
This project was appreciated and inaugurated by Shr. Rajesh Agarwal, Member of Railway Board on 27th July 2019.
With precautionary measures in mind and practice, Amplus delivered this quality project, that set a high benchmark for safety. Amplus has always prioritised safety and quality to set itself apart from its competitors. Some of these practices have also become leading industry standards.
